The Agricultural Business Centre is a few minutes walk from the centre of Bakewell, the major market town of the Peak District. In this charming country town can be found a wide range of shops, galleries and cafes.

A short drive south of the ABC is Haddon Hall, which was the  major location for BBC TV's production of Jane Eyre, and is open to the public. The actual scenery and places that Charlotte Bronte was thinking of when she wrote the book are around Hathersage few miles to the north, where is the alleged last resting place of Little John, of Robin Hood Fame.

A few miles north of Bakewell is Chatsworth, home of the Devonshire Family. The recent film of Pride and Prejudice was filmed at Chatsworth as was the more recent  production of The Duchess.
